Welcome to our wonderful school. Yuleba is a beautiful little town situated in the Darling Downs South West region between Miles and Roma. We have an ongoing enrolment of around thirty students. Our small school has been a teaching school for 125 years and has seen many changes in the small town throughout this period. The town of Yuleba is well resourced and contains a general store/newsagent, post office/council hub, service station, hotel, and a library.

Our school is divided into two classes - an early childhood class for students in prep year to year two, and a senior class for students from year three to six. All classrooms are fully air conditioned to cater with our extreme temperature changes throughout the year. We are fortunate to have a large number of computers and laptops, 2 interactive whiteboards, 6 ipads and an abundance of learning resources to extend children’s learning.

Two and a half teachers are employed and, together with 3 teacher aides, aim to give the students the individual attention they require to reach their potential. We have access to specialist teachers for music and physical education. Year five and six students access French lessons provided by The School of Distance Education in Brisbane.

The P&C Association sells our school uniform, royal blue shorts or skorts and red logoed Yuleba polo shirts for cost price. These are available at the office.

School hours are from 8.50am – 3.00pm. Students are not to be at school before 8.30 am unless notification to the Principal is given.

Our library is very well resourced and is a cosy and welcoming learning hub for rainy lunchtimes or hot days when an escape from the weather is needed. It is also used as an extra learning environment for the students.

The Department of Education (the department) is committed to ensuring Queensland children and families have access to a kindergarten program wherever they live.

The department provides kindergarten programs in selected approved State Schools in communities where families would otherwise not have access to a kindergarten program. Kindergarten is proudly provided at our school 3 days per week. We offer an approved kindergarten program delivered by a qualified teacher to children who are at least four years old by 30 June in the year they start the program.

Please see the enrolments tab for information on how to register your child.  The kindergarten program at our school is provided on even week Tuesdays along with every Thursday and Friday.
